Starting in the hotel lobby
The evening begins on the ground, in the lobby of the Valamar Lacroma Hotel on Babin Kuk, 30 minutes ahead of the stated start time. A welcome drink is served while the table above is set and checked.
The harness, fitted and checked
Before anyone is lifted, the operator fits each guest with TUV-certified harness equipment and runs its own three-step safety check on every belt — this happens at ground level, not once the table is already moving.
Going up together
Guests, crew and the table itself are raised as one unit by crane, the hotel's own rooftops and Babin Kuk's gardens dropping away as the platform climbs toward the top of its lift.
Levelling out and turning
At the top of the lift the platform holds and begins to rotate, giving every seat a slow turn across the Elaphiti Islands and the coastline as the light starts to change.
The meal, course by course
The 3-course dinner — meat, fish or vegetarian, chosen when booking — is served through the roughly 90 minutes aloft, with Croatian wine and soft drinks kept topped up the whole time.
Coming back down
The crane lowers the table back to Babin Kuk to close out the evening at around the two-hour mark, door to door.
